Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2 September 2026
CrySoothe is designed to detect possible crying on the Baby device and send status updates and alerts to a paired Parent device. Monitoring audio is processed on the Baby device and is not uploaded to CrySoothe servers.
Data we process
- Microphone audio: live monitoring audio is analyzed in memory on the Baby device for cry detection and is not stored or uploaded.
- Parent Voice recordings: recordings you intentionally create are stored only in the app's private storage on that device. They are not uploaded and can be deleted in the app or by clearing the app's data.
- Account and device data: an anonymous Firebase user ID, an app-generated device ID, app version, first-use and access-status information, and a Firebase Cloud Messaging token.
- Paired monitoring data: room and pairing identifiers, monitoring and connection status, battery level, charging state, timestamps, limited technical error codes, and cry-event metadata such as start/end time, confidence score, and soothing status. Cry-event metadata does not contain audio.
- Service data: our infrastructure providers may process IP address, device/app identifiers, and technical diagnostics needed to provide, secure, and maintain their services.
How we use data
We use this data to pair devices, show monitoring status, deliver alerts, maintain access eligibility, prevent abuse, secure the service, troubleshoot failures, and provide core app functionality. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Sharing and service providers
Data is processed on our behalf by Google Firebase services, including Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Messaging, and App Check, and by Cloudflare for backend request processing and alert delivery. These providers process data under their own applicable privacy and security terms. MediaPipe performs cry classification on-device; live monitoring audio is not sent to Google by CrySoothe.
Storage and retention
App settings, local event history, and optional Parent Voice recordings remain on the device until deleted, app data is cleared, or the app is uninstalled. Local event history is limited to 30 days or 500 events. Remote cry-event metadata is limited to 7 days or 100 events, and alert records are retained for up to 24 hours under normal operation. Pairing, device, access, and account records are retained while needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or prevent abuse.
Your choices and deletion
You may revoke microphone or notification permission in Android settings, although affected features will stop working. You may unpair devices in the app, delete Parent Voice recordings, clear app data, or uninstall the app. To request deletion of remotely stored data associated with your anonymous account or for any privacy request, contact us at 4rever.slava@gmail.com. We may ask for information needed to identify the relevant anonymous device or room.
Security
We use access controls, authenticated connections, app-integrity checks, restricted database rules, and encrypted network transport. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
Children and safety
CrySoothe is intended for use by adults caring for a child and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly request a child's name, contact details, or other profile information. CrySoothe is not a medical device and does not replace direct adult supervision.
International processing
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own, subject to their applicable legal safeguards.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
